How is this software, SyncApps, supposed to work?

Cazoom has just marked over 1700 contacts in Zoho CRM as "opt-out" in the "email opt-out" field. That means that we can't send ANY emails to those people through our Zoho CRM system. Please help me understand how this system is supposed to work.

Your instructions are horrible. This has created an ENORMOUS problem for us now.

    Michele,

    Thank you for your note and SyncApps only set "opt out" in CRM if they have opted out in MailChimp.

    Can you provide a screen shot of this issue and your email used for SyncApps?

    Also, please do look at the Profile setup pages there are instructions on each and our FAQ to explain in detail SyncApps.

    SyncApp opt-out status sync is two way sync:

    * From Zoho CRM to Mailchimp (can be enabled/disabled in configuration)
    If opted out in Zoho CRM SyncApp can unsubscribe them in Mailchimp or ignore it.

    * From Mailchimp to Zoho CRM (always enabled)
    If email is unsubscribed in Mailchimp then SyncApp set the contact in Zoho as opted-out. This feature was requested by most of our customers.
    If a person unsubscribed from Mailchimp list I think they also do not want receive marketing emails from Zoho CRM as well.

    Could you please have a look at MailChimp unsubscribed list. How many emails have unsubscribed from your list?

    But that is NOT true. Here is the scenario:

    1. We invite people, using our Zoho CRM, to opt-in to a specific newsletter called "Weekly Humor" which is sent to those who DO opt in. Those who do NOT opt in continue to receive personal emails from us, as needed, through Zoho regarding other subjects of interest.

    2. If someone who opted in to receive the "Weekly Humor" newsletter later decides to unsubscribe to that newsletter, it does not mean that they never want to hear from us (through) Zoho about anything again. So we need to be able just to unsubscribe them from the MailChimp "Weekly Humor" campaign but NOT have them marked "opt-out" from all emails generated from Zoho.

    I thought that's why you offer the "Campaign Response" field option--so that we know who has opted in to the Weekly Humor campaign.

    Is it possible to do what we are trying to do using Cazoomi integration? If so, I need to know exactly how to create the necessary profiel to accomplish this. I know that you believe that you have spelled everything out CLEARLY, but you have not.

    I have attached the screenshot of the profile I created that caused these problems. Please tell me how to set the profiel up correctly if it IS possible.

  • Hi Michele,

    Campaign response sync is to sync "opens" and "clicks" action in Mailchimp campaign to Zoho CRM so you will know whether email is clicked/opened without having to login to MailChimp.

    For your purpose we will need to add new option "Do not sync unsubscribed status From Mailchimp to Zoho CRM".

    I will let you know once we have implemented those feature.

    We have added new option to not sync unsubscribed emails. You can edit your sync profile in MailChimp section and check the option.
